Meet Linda Schaller

team pix - elfenworks.com Meet Elfenworks Foundation team member Linda Schaller. Linda Schaller is a storyteller, a producer and a director. Whether dramatic or comedic, her documentaries and performance specials have been entertaining, informative and accessible to a broad Public Television audience for more than 20 years. Linda additionally works directly with major arts and corporate organizations such as the San Francisco Opera, San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Sonoma State University and Kaiser Permanente creating documentary and interactive films for public events and performances. Her trademark cultural programs have given her the opportunity to work with celebrities Angela Bassett, Derek Jacobi, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Linda Ronstadt, Michael Smuin, Whoopi Goldberg, Frederica von Stade, and Carol Burnett.

The national PBS documentary which Linda produced and directed, AND THEN ONE NIGHT: THE MAKING OF DEAD MAN WALKING, received a national Emmy nomination and won the Northern California Emmy. Her other awarding winning documentaries and performance specials have garnered 9 Northern California Emmys and the top awards from San Francisco International Film Festival, Houston International Film Festival, Paris Grand Prix dance documentary festival, CINE, National Educational Video Golden Apple and NATPE Iris.

Schaller is presently producing /directing/writing the intermission documentary segments for the 2008 national PBS broadcast of the San Francisco Ballet's NUTCRACKER, a co-production of the San Francisco Ballet and KQED-TV.
